Downtown Truckee
The downtown Truckee area is full of charm, boutique shops and trendy restaurants. We recommend making dinner reservations in advance as space is often limited. Thursday nights are reserved for "Truckee Thursdays", a fun community event with street vendors, food trucks and live music.
Truckee River Rafting
Spend the day floating down the Truckee river! A great 2-3 hours in which you enjoy a leisurely, self guided, 5 mile float down to the River Ranch Restaurant. Reserve your float online.
Piping Rock Equestrian Center
Stable located in Truckee right at the Cali-Nevada border! Take a scenic trail ride through the Tahoe National Forest. Reservations can me made online.
This stable is about a 50 minute drive from Truckee but totally worth it for the views! Located in South Lake Tahoe, you will ride through the mountains and have a beautiful view of the Lake. Bride’s favorite scenic trail ride! Call for reservations.

BEACHES
Clif’s favorite beach in Tahoe. Chambers Landing is a small public beach. Parking along the paved entrance road is the only public parking available. The beach is located near a popular restaurant and bar. Don’t forget to have a Chamber’s punch!
KINGS BEACH
A spot near and dear to our heart, this is where we got engaged! It is also a popular destination spot for many beachgoers due to its easy access and large stretch of beach. We recommend bringing in picnic lunch and planning to enjoy a full day of sun and sand. Shade is limited so bring your sunscreen!
SAND HARBOR BEACH
Arguably the most beautiful beach in Tahoe! Its clear blue water and beautiful rocks are truly a sight to see! Make sure to get there early to find a parking place.
HIKING/BIKING
Northstar hiking: Northstar ski mountain is a beautiful spot to hike & explore. You can take the chairlift up & access trails on the mountain!
Flume Trail: AMAZING views of Lake Tahoe. Located in Incline Village, NV, ~30min drive from Truckee.
Emerald Bay: Hiking, biking trails nearby. The view here is breathtaking! ~45 min drive from Truckee but definitely worth the trip!
GOLFING
Fifteen minutes from the Ritz-Carlton, the Old Greenwood course offers 18 holes of perfection nestled among 600 acres of towering pines and surrounded by beautiful mountains.
